Why this format

The easy bridge from a 2×6 strip to a 4×6 print

A classic photo booth strip is usually 2×6 inches. A 4×6 sheet is the standard size offered by many home printers, kiosks and photo services, so the sheet acts as the carrier that you trim after printing.

This maker creates a fixed 1200×1800 pixel canvas. That is 4×6 inches at 300 DPI: 4 × 300 = 1200 pixels wide and 6 × 300 = 1800 pixels tall. Two 2×6 strips fit across the sheet at their intended proportions.

Already need to create the strip itself? Start with the Photo Strip Maker, then bring the exported 2×6 files here for printing.

How it works

Make a print sheet in four steps

1

Add your strip files

Upload one or two existing 2×6 photo strip PNG, JPG or WebP files.

2

Choose the sheet layout

Use 2-up for two strips side by side, or 1-up to center one strip on the sheet.

3

Set a safe margin

Keep the artwork edge to edge, or add a 24 px or 48 px outer margin for your printer.

4

Download the PNG

Review the 1200×1800 preview, then download your 4×6 print sheet locally.

At home

Load 4×6 photo paper, choose the option that fits the whole image, and turn off automatic crop or fill. Print one test sheet before making a batch.

At a kiosk

Order a 4×6 print and preview the full image. After pickup, use the dashed center guide or the outer edge to trim the strips without changing their proportions.

For the full conversion table, see the guide to photo booth strip dimensions, including 2×6 versus 2×8 and the 600×1800 pixel strip size.

4×6 print sheet FAQ

What size is the downloaded print sheet?+

The canvas is 1200×1800 pixels, the pixel dimensions commonly used for a 4×6 inch print at 300 DPI. It downloads as a PNG.

Can I put two 2×6 strips on one 4×6 sheet?+

Yes. Choose 2-up and add up to two strip files. The tool places them side by side and can draw a dashed center cut line.

Will the tool stretch my photos?+

No. Each image is fitted inside its slot with its original proportions. A file with a different ratio may show white space instead of distorted faces or borders.

Are my photos uploaded or stored?+

No. The files are read and composited in your browser. Boothstrip does not upload or store the photos.

What does 300 DPI mean here?+

At 300 DPI, four inches equals 1200 pixels and six inches equals 1800 pixels. The downloaded canvas uses those dimensions so a print service can treat it as a 4×6 image at photo quality.
