A photo strip maker is an online tool that turns your photos into a classic photo booth strip, the same vertical strip of frames you get from a vintage photo booth.
You upload one to four pictures, choose a layout, and the tool arranges them into a clean white strip with a caption. Fine-tune the border width, spacing and corner radius, then download the finished photo strip as a PNG or JPG.

Your download is a PNG at photo-quality resolution. Pick the print-size preset when you export and it comes out at 2×6 inches (600×1800 px at 300 DPI), ready for a home printer or a drugstore kiosk.
Why print a 2×6 strip on 4×6 paper? Because printers and drugstore kiosks only stock standard sizes, and 4×6 is the smallest common one. The strip sits inside it with a 1-inch white margin down each side, so you order the 4×6 and trim those margins off.
For reference, a classic analog booth strip is 2 inches wide with a four-pose strip running about 8 inches long, per this strip-dimension reference. We export at 2×6 because that fits the paper most printers and kiosks stock.
Print photo strip at home
- 1. Download the PNG with the Print size (2×6 in) option.
- 2. Load 4×6 glossy or semi-gloss photo paper (200–300 gsm).
- 3. Set the printer to photo quality, 300 DPI, and borderless if supported.
- 4. Center the strip — on 4×6 paper it leaves a 1-inch white margin on each side — then trim to the strip edge.
Print photo strip at Walgreens or CVS
- 1. Order a 4×6 photo print — upload the PNG online or use the in-store kiosk.
- 2. The 2×6 strip sits centered on the 4×6 sheet with white margins.
- 3. Pick up same-day (usually within an hour), then trim to the strip edges.
At the kiosk, choose the option that fits the whole image onto the sheet — usually labelled “fit” or “shrink to fit”. Do not choose “crop” or “fill”: that scales the strip up to fill the 4×6 and cuts most of it away. Glossy paper gives the truest retro-booth look; matte is easier to handle and resists fingerprints.
